We worship reason and rationality as blindly as we once did dogma and superstition.
Who to follow.. or who to question.. well so many people have questions..
so the ones that have answers.. whether they are right or wrong.. become
our heroes.
why do we question our own existence? Is this the inherent nature of our
mind to justify and solidify something as slippery as the concept of being? Does the answer give us meaning or purpose? So
many questions.. so many possible answers...
Who is your hero? Is it God or Allah or Yahweh or Buddah? Or some entity less well known to the slightly
educated? Do you meditate or pray? Does this make you who you are.. or who you arent?
In a country that professes freedom of religion and freedom from persecution based on religion, the
stench of Christian morals and ideals are smelled in our laws, our mottos, our pledge of allegiance. Yet how ironic is that.
We are taking a rag and putting color on it and using it as a symbol (idol?) of our country and actually pledging allegiance
to it like mindless drones. Does this not wreak of idolism? One nation under Canada and above Mexico.. lol..
In God we Trust. In Money we Trust. In Lust we Trust. In Cars we Trust. In Homes we Trust. In College
we Trust. In our Job we Trust.
There are so many prisons out there.. being quarintined at a college campus.. or workin yourself to
death at a 9-5 job doing work that if your 6th grade self would see you doing, he would beat you up. All those childish dreams
of yesterday are gone.. except one. There is still one thing that you cling to.. one thing that you still cant throw away
like all those broken toys. Your faith. It has got you through so much. You dont know how you could have made it through all
those tough situations without it. You fuckin pussy. You cant even take responsibilty or credit for getting yourself ahead
in life, even if you found the courage from a falicy. That lie has given you the excuse to find the strength inside yourself
and give the credit to a non-existant omnipotent being.
The human sub-conscious is a very powerful and often under estimated thing. The inherent power that
we have to use it is diminished by forcing ourselves to believe that the energy that we have does not come from us.
Forgive me.. I have become long winded and biased.. presenting only my point of view.. but there is
still one question that remains to be answered...
